Case Study: Veronica Nunes

We first met Veronica years ago on the set of a styled shoot and her serene nature made such an impression. As she’s grown into her freelancing business, she remains the same calm and kind creative whose drive to enhance natural beauty is of the utmost importance. Taking a 30,00 foot view of her brand, her vision was clear: she wanted her website to communicate more than just her skill in make-up artistry. She wanted to capture the emotional essence of her work. Veronica’s passion lies in how she makes her clients feel—uplifted, beautiful, and confident in their own skin. Her approach to make-up is rooted in celebrating natural beauty, and she came to The Ness Brand Studio hoping to create a digital space that reflected this mission authentically.

After our initial consultation, we identified three key elements Veronica’s refreshed website needed to emphasize:

  1. Natural Beauty First: A visual and written narrative that prioritized enhancing natural beauty over transformation.

  2. Emotional Connection: A design that evoked warmth and connection, reflecting Veronica’s expertise and commitment to her clients’ well-being.

  3. Artistry and Expertise: Subtle cues showcasing her professional skill, while still focusing on the empowerment and beauty she brings to her clients’ lives.


    We then brought in our sister studio team member Samantha, for the execution of our goals using existing visual identity elements that simply needed a fresh take.

This mood board was developed by combining professional photography of Veronica’s work as well as brands that inspire her, creatively and professionally.

Crafting a Strategy to Bring Her Vision to Life

With these goals in mind, we developed a custom strategy for Veronica's website redesign. Here’s how we approached each aspect of her brand:

1. Visuals that Speak to Natural Beauty

To align with her mission, we refined her color palette inspired by romantic, classic tones that evoke a sense of calm and natural beauty. Photography was central to this refresh, so we selected images that captured her clients’ radiant, natural beauty in real settings, emphasizing her talent in enhancing rather than masking.

2. An Inviting and Heartfelt Tone

From the first moment visitors land on Veronica’s website, we wanted them to feel a genuine warmth and connection. Her brand voice was refined to be both professional and conversational, embodying Veronica’s open and uplifting approach. Copy on the site was crafted to celebrate inner and outer beauty equally, creating an inclusive and welcoming message to every visitor.

3. A Showcase of Passion and Expertise

To let Veronica’s expertise shine, we built a “Portfolio” section highlighting her range of looks on a variety of diverse faces. Testimonials from clients were woven throughout the site to reinforce the impact of her work and the confidence she instills. This emphasis on storytelling allowed Veronica’s passion to resonate with prospective clients, creating an immediate connection.

A simple (but never boring) color palette that is the perfect balance of romantic and classic.

The Results

The redesigned website perfectly captures the heart of Veronica’s brand, bringing her passion and expertise to the forefront. Since the launch, Veronica has seen a noticeable increase in engagement from her ideal clients—people who appreciate her natural approach to make-up and seek an artist who values their inner beauty as much as the outer.
